Dr. Dae-Young Lee of Iowa State University has been awarded a Research Building Seed Grant for his proposal, “Development of the CubeSat Operation Testbed Using Hardware-In-The-Loop Simulator in the Neutral Buoyancy Tank.” Dr. Lee’s research is aimed at testing the simultaneous operation of multiple CubeSats, creating a virtual fleet test-bed, where researchers can evaluate, analyze and improve development of CubeSats. His research is supported by researchers at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Dr. Lee has also been awarded a Research Award for his proposal, “JSC,ARC: Non-GPS Navigation System Using Dual Star/Planetary Cameras for Lunar and Deep-Space CubeSat Missions”.
