Dr. Michael Flatté

Dr. Michael Flatté, of the University of Iowa Department of Physics & Astronomy, has been awarded with a Research Building Seed Grant for his proposal, “All-Electrical Quantum Magnetometer for Spaceflight Applications.” Dr. Flatté will use his funding to improve the structure design of JPL-developed magnetometer technology, in order to improve predictability and sensitivity. He has worked previously with JPL groups, and will continue this NASA collaboration and build upon it.
